SOULWORK SUMMER WORKSHOPS – OVERVIEW
DALLAS * HOUSTON * FAQs
SoulWork seeks to create heightened levels of emotional sincerity, visceral response, and social and civic power in artistic expression. SoulWork is developed by Progress Theatre founder, Dr. Cristal Chanelle Truscott, from techniques and generations-old principles of African American performance traditions and aesthetics.
⇐Dr. Truscott’s chapter on SoulWork is available in Black Acting Methods published and sold by Routledge.

This summer series of introductory SoulWork workshops offers sessions for both adult artists and for youth artists ages 15-18 interested in tools to create their own work or dynamically engage and mount the work of fellow artists as a means of community-engaged activism.
